In case you haven't noticed, selling itself as "half-decent" is only a part of why When Saturday Comes is the best football magazine on the planet.
It's been my privilege to have my work appear in a few issues over the last twenty-odd years. This includes a fair number of reviews, be it the last Rangers campaign in their legendary annual season guide, an autobiography by the late Ian Redford or a VHS of the FA's official advice on how to score goals.
As well as this, and the articles detailed in previous posts (See January 2021 and November 2020 posts or simply click "When Saturday Comes" on the Labels list on the lower right of the home page), I've also written WSC pieces campaigning against both summer football in Scotland and banning the media from Ibrox, as well as celebrating the wondrous appeal both of flabby Scottish club stars and the ball striking the bar on its way into the net.
And the biggest honour of my wee writing life was being asked to do the Match of the Month feature on the oldest international fixture of them all, Scotland v England - born in my home city - when it was last reprised at Hampden.
All these pieces are available via a subscription to the magazine which automatically includes free access to the entire digital archive.
